This is a great opportunity to work for an award winning, large chilled food group who supply own branded products into all the major retailers.
As Head Development Chef, the purpose of your role is to ensure the effective delivery of the company strategy and customer category plans.
You will be responsible for innovative interpretation of customer briefs delivered via effective research and presentation skills, direct line-management of the development kitchen team (Innovation Chef and Kitchen Assistant), understanding the target market to enable identification of new trends to improve existing products or inspire new, value engineering of ingredients, packaging and processes and accurate use and upkeep of development resources and documentation.
To be considered for the Head Development Chef job, you will be an experienced Development Chef with a demonstrable understanding and delivery of innovation from kitchen concept to factory production. You will have multi-stakeholder team experience (customer, development team, production team) plus excellent presentation skills and be a great communicator. You will also be educated to at least a City & Guilds level 3 or NVQ level 3 in a relevant qualification, have team leading experience and a product background in chilled, prepared food is highly desirable.
The Head Development Chef job is based in the West Midlands region and is paying £35,000 - £45,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus excellent benefits including company pension, 33 days holiday, childcare vouchers and more. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
