Sales Development Executive - Technical Food Ingredients

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and successful food ingredients business, headquartered in Europe. The Sales Development Executive will be responsible for selling their technical ingredients into a wide variety of UK based food
manufacturers and act as an integral part of this small team.
This role demands a driven, ambitious individual to develop this specialised business in the food ingredients sector. Working closely with existing customers, maximising opportunities and developing new business, our client is looking for applicants who either have experience of technical ingredient sales or as a food technologist. The role demands close co-operation with internal colleagues monitoring the market, the product range and competitors, as well as working closely with NPD and technical departments.
Prior experience in sales would be advantageous but not essential, however the ideal candidate will have a thorough awareness of food manufacturing, demonstrable communication skills along with a can do attitude. This role is home based with some European travel, however at least one day a week will need to spent at the headquarters in the South East.
