Quality Manager - Southampton

A great opportunity has arisen at Hovis we're looking for a Quality Manager at our Mill in Southampton.  The role will require the individual to support and lead quality improvement activities ensuring all stakeholders develop and maintain their part of the Quality Management System within a defined framework of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality. In addition the individual will be required to ensure that business, customer specific and regulatory requirements and expectations are accurately identified and are consistently met or exceeded , whilst developing and a customer focused culture ingraining quality and food safety to meet the goals within the organisations strategic plan. 

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Degree / HND in Food Manufacturing or similar
  • Level 4 Award ( Higher )  in Food Safety & HACCP
  • Experience of BRC 7 and retailer standards
  • Internal and external auditing
  • Plant operation
  • Delivery of Projects
  • Managing  People & Operational change
  • Proven Track record of Management
  • Proven track record of achievement
  • Food manufacturing and production processes
  • Ability to evaluate and manage risk and contingency
  • Evidence of courageous, inventive, driven and straightforward behaviours
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentational skills
  • Management/Leadership Training

Desirable

  • Formal Milling qualification – NABIM Modules 1-7 or higher
  • Health & Safety- IOSH/ NEBOSH  Standard
  • System 21 / SAP Training
