We have an immediate opportunity for a Production Planner within Bulk Cream to join us at our head office in Leeds and gain experience within one of the world's largest dairy companies. Whilst this is initially offered on a on a 6 month fixed term contract, Arla encourages internal mobility and this could potentially lead to other opportunities in the future. In this role you will report to the Senior Manager for Operational Milk Planning. As Bulk Cream Planner you will plan and schedule all bulk cream loads exported from Arla sites to satisfy internal demand and external sales contracts.
Make an Impact
A challenging and varied role, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Generating weekly plans using site exports and demands
- Implementing daily updates and ad hoc changes
- Communicating detailed timing schedules to sites, customers and our logistics team
- Minimising the overall cost of moving cream
- Monitoring and liaising with the Westbury site, Planning Team and Trading team
- Minimising short notice changes and distress sales of cream
- Generating KPI of short term changes and effect on costs
- Completing Christmas schedules and providing input to medium-term plan
Develop your Knowledge
To be successful in this role you will have experience of working in a customer service or scheduling/planning role dealing with multiple stake-holders in a fast moving business. As a confident Excel user you will have experience of manipulating data and spreadsheets. This role represents an excellent opportunity for a entry level planning professional to join a leading dairy business and develop their knowledge and skillset.
