Quality Assurance Manager, Northamptonshire, Salary Up to £40K 
I am currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager for a very successful food manufacturer based in Northamptonshire. As a Quality Manager, you will lead and co-ordinate the work of the quality assurance teams to deliver and implement service improvement, in line with operational day to day needs with regards to safety, quality, legality and customer requirements. 

As a Quality Manager you will report to the Technical Manager, with key responsibilities of: 
•    Directing the team to deliver the quality management system including the internal audit plan in order to ensure compliance with customer, manufacturing unit, legislative, divisional and strategic requirements 
•    Providing information and demonstrate operational practice in support of external audits to enable compliance with customer requirements 
•    Developing the capability of the QA team through the Technical Strategy and to monitor departmental KPI’s adjusting team activity to ensure targets are achieved 
•    Planning and maintaining resource utilisation in order to advise the required QA tasks and to lead and deliver a project(s) to create business effectiveness and cost efficiency 
•    Building production capability and under to achieve relevant technical requirements as well as ensuring that a safe working environment exists for all employees and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in SHE Policy  

To be considered for this position the candidate must have:
•    A food degree or relevant qualification or relevant experience 
•    Internal auditing experience 
•    Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate Level 3 
•    Relevant Food Manufacturing experience 
•    Level 3 Health and Safety 
•    The ability to use computer programmes including word, excel and related technical IT packages
•    Experience with HACCP principles and practices 
•    Knowledge of technical KPIs, basic knowledge of weight legislation, legal labelling-basic requirements and allergen awareness-implications/related to labelling 
•    Nutritional awareness, shelf life determination and awareness, knowledge of hygiene & disinfection principals of risk assessment 

Salary Up to £40K 
Sunday – Thursday 
10pm - 6.30am
