This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company working with fresh and prepared foods. Part of an international group, products are supplied to major UK retailers and also to leading customers worldwide.
As Development Technologist, you will work closely with customers to develop innovative products from concept to launch, ensure successful product transfer from kitchen to factory and work closely with internal teams.
You will develop products within a project brief, help and support the development of commercially viable products, support the development of critical path, deliver to the project brief, formulate and implement the critical path, share ideas for products and processes and assist junior staff when applicable.
The successful candidate will preferably be educated to a degree level in a food science discipline and/or possess previous experience of working within a related NPD role, ideally in a chilled foods environment serving the major retailers. You will be able to demonstrate a passion for the food industry and awareness of consumer market trends plus excellent self-motivation, a high work ethic and good attention to detail.
The Development Technologist job is based in the Central Scotland region and is paying £22,000 - £24,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm.
