Quality Control Technician (9–12 month contract)
This is an excellent chance to work for a highly regarded food solutions business providing specialist products for the food manufacturing and food service industry. With their long heritage of innovation, variety and quality they are now seeking a Quality Control Technician, on a contract basis to join their technical team.
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you’ll be assisting with the implementation of quality systems and procedures in line with company values as well as the latest legislation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out risk assessment to ensure that the laboratory is maintained and kept safe, demonstrating compliance with customer and legislation requirements.
- Sampling and performing quality analysis on materials and products that may be entering or leaving the site, whilst liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure the quality control of materials.
- Assisting the quality assurance department when required for tasks such as audit preparations.
- Organising organoleptic panels as well as building relationships with Production teams, ensuring seamless manufacturing processes to guarantee the continued success and growth of this progressive business.
Suit a Food Science or Technology graduate ready to take on this new technical role with a fast paced food company. Ideally you’ll have some previous technical experience, perhaps gained from an industrial placement year, where you have maintained technical or quality information. Good analytical, organisation and prioritisation skills alongside a keen eye for detail are a must in order to achieve success in this role as you will be working to tight deadlines. You will also need to have great communication skills as you will be in frequent liaison with internal and external colleagues as well as key customers.
