Quality Assurance Manager, Lincolnshire - £34K 
I am currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager for a very successful food manufacturer based in Lincolnshire. The core focus of this role is to deliver the quality and technical objectives for the site operations. The role will help develop the quality and hygiene policies and plans. 

As the Quality Assurance Manager you will report to the Technical Manager, key responsibilities will include; 
•    Ensuring the daily compliance of all standards against company and BRC requirements.
•    Ensuring all internal and external audits and testing is carried out as required
•    Ensuring all audits are conducted and corrective actions and non-conformances are raised, documented and actioned
•    Driving root cause analysis to reduce the non-conformance and incidents within the manufacturing operations*
•    Costs control for the department
•    Ensuring food standards are in place, are fully briefed/trained out and that teams are producing safe food in accordance with policy
•    Effectively communicate information to technical and non-technical teams
•    Educating and providing expert information to the manufacturing teams
•    Managing change – products/processes/recipes/standards/systems
•    Supporting the training to ensure it is effective and understood
•    Supporting the QS Co-ordinator with the HACCP systems and ensure legal compliance
•    Ensuring accreditations are maintained, e.g. BRC, Kosher, Femas, Soil Association
•    Ensuring there is evidence of continuous improvement activity and forums are being carried out to show year on year improvements to consumer complaints

To be considered for this position, the candidate must have;
•    Food Science related degree or equivalent qualification 
•    Proven Quality management experience 
•    Food manufacturing experience 
•    Thorough understanding of food legislation and nutrition 
•    Internal auditing ability 
•    HACCP Qualification
•    Knowledge of Allergen, Vendor Assurance, Process Contaminants, Organic Management and working knowledge of British Retail Consortium standards 
•    Excellent decision-making and clarity of thinking skills
•    The ability to analyse and interpret data and formulate solid actions plans to improve performance
•    A focused, pragmatic approach to solving problems. Able to use root cause analysis to identify, assess and select the most appropriate course of action to resolve issues
•    The ability to communicate using non-technical language to ensure that any issues are clearly understood by all concerned

Salary Up to £34,000 
5% Bonus Scheme 
37.5 Hours – Days
