Bright Blue Foods | Senior NPD Technologist | Bright Ideas, Brilliant Service, Fabulous Cakes
Cake, Fruit Pies, Swiss Rolls and Tarts… need to hear more?
Bright Blue Foods have been synonymous with sweet bakery innovation for years. Whether you know it or not you have probably shared some of your happiest memories with Bright Blue Foods; whether it be putting out a mince pie on Christmas Eve, singing Happy Birthday to a friend, or just helping yourself to an extra Bakewell tart to celebrate that promotion. Bright Blue Foods are ingrained in the fabric of one of the most popular food categories in the UK today.
As well as celebrating with you, Bright Blue Foods are celebrating themselves. They will be the first to admit the industry has seen a difficult couple of years and with investment in the business continuing to grow, and a unified strategic focus from top to bottom they are having their cake and eating it. Sales are up, profit is on the rise and EBITDA has climbed over 200%, and with the blessing from the top down the team continue to invest in recruiting talent who want to be part of this exciting journey.
Following a healthy mix of new appointments in the last 12 months backed up with the stability of a long serving workforce, the emphasis is now on stepping up their ability to consistently deliver exemplary innovation to their discerning customer base which includes the majority of the UK’s most recognisable retailers.
People are at the heart of the NPD function. Passion and energy for what you do will always be more important than what you have done before, but to make the required impact you will be an experienced technologist looking for the next step in your career so the level of responsibility and progression path will reflect this.
Reporting to the NPD Manager you will be responsible for taking products from concept through to launch and will be fully customer facing. Exposure to working in or closely with a process team will also be beneficial but not essential.
Whilst growth is exciting, fun and rewarding it can also be uncertain, challenging and a little scary at times. You must be able to roll with the punches, adapt to an environment in a constant state of self-improvement and not just tolerate but thrive in a busy ever changing empowering business.
This is a rare opportunity to join a team at what is set to be the start of a major growth phase in its history.
They are looking for bright, engaging people with high energy and a high propensity towards personal development.
If you enjoy the pace, thrive on the challenge and love all things naughty and nice then please apply by sending your CV through to our recruitment partners at Paul Nyman Consultancy.
