Role Overview

This is an ideal role for someone starting their career in food manufacture and wants to pursue a career within Quality.

This role would report on a day-to- day basis to the Quality Assurance Manager and would liaise closely with Technical administrator and all Team Leaders, Shift Managers and the Factory management team.


The purpose of the job is to ensure the production of high quality products that are safe to eat and within the law as detailed in the Quality Management System.

Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 18:00

Job description

To randomly monitor production and warehouse procedures and paperwork to check accuracy and timely recording of information and to report any non-conformances to the shift Manager for further action

To ensure that all CCP’s are being followed and are within the specified limits and take the appropriate action if that is not the case, following the non-conformance procedure at all times


To ensure entrance and PPE policies are adhered to where appropriate


To randomly monitor temperature of all chilled, refrigerated and frozen areas


To take action against any non-conformances of CCP’s, quality standards, foreign bodies and any other food safety
issues according to the non-conformance procedure ensuring any non-conforming product is placed on hold and
quarantined pending a Senior Management decision

To assist the Technical Manager in investigating any non- conformances

To check scales, temperature probes and other calibrated equipment using calibrated measuring instruments
according to the calibration schedule


To collect microbial, water and nutritional samples


To carry out organoleptic checks on products throughout production


To carry out ‘end of life’ checks on products

To carry out weekly GMP checks across the whole site

To carry out monthly calibration of ATP swabbing machine and visual inspection of equipment


To carry out weekly blade checks

To carry out a monthly glass and hard plastic audit

To carry out hand wash temperature check

To attend any training required of your role / industry standards

To follow all industry and Company quality, technical, food hygiene and safety and HR policies and procedures at all
times

You are required to do all that is reasonably necessary to ensure your role is carried out appropriately and to the requirements of the business. Therefore it is your duty to inform your Senior Manager should you have any difficulty,
needs or concerns surrounding this requirement

To comply with all reasonable colleague and / or manager requests

Any other technical duties as requested by the Technical Manager and Technical Administrator/Team PA
