About the Role
The Systems Technologist is an important member of the Refresco UK Technical Food Quality team and reports to the Technical Systems Manager. You will work in a small technical systems team and input information and maintain databases relating to company finished products so that it is accurate and compliant for the Production teams in our busy factory facilities.
Your key customers within the Refresco UK business are Production (Manufacturing), colleagues in other parts of the Technical team who need access to data (Projects, Operations and Laboratory), Commercial and Supply Chain Planning.
This role is based in our busy, highly automated and modern Bridgwater site.
Your key tasks & dutues are:
- Creation of finished product codes in accordance with change management requests and procedures.
- Creation and maintenance of product data, ensuring sufficient and accurate information is available.
- Creation and maintenance of product data for all Finished Goods, Raw Materials and Packaging in the Technical Database.
- Creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials within the technical database.
- Creation and maintenance of production recipes.
- Maintenance of data and recipes.
- Maintenance of the Technical Database data.
- Implementation of Change Management Requests.
Thuis is essentially an administrative role working in a busy office environment as part of a team and as such you will need to have strong administrative experience including data inputting skills requiring attention to detail and accuracy. You will need to work quicly and accurately, is ideally proficient in MS Office including MS Access. You will be computer savvy and numerate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Most importantly you will bneed to be a team player, self motivates and proactive with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and comfortable working to sometimes demanding deadlines.

Acquisition of Cott Beverages bottling activities
On January 30, 2018 Refresco announced completion of the acquisition of the bottling activities of Cott Beverages.
In combining Refresco’s strong European capabilities and Cott’s strength in the UK and North America, Refresco almost doubles its production volume to approximately 12 billion litres. The combination provides customers access to seamless service across geographies and an unrivalled production platform with access to all non-alcoholic beverages categories.

In the UK, Refresco Beverages UK has headquarters in Bridgwater, Somerset and Kegworth, Derbyshire, employs 2000 people across 6 sites (Bridgwater, Kegworth, Nelson, Bondgate, Wrexham & Macduff). We work with all the leading UK retailers including Tesco, ASDA, Morrison's, Sainsbury, ALDI and Lidl to produce their private labels and with branded customers such as Innocent, Ocean Spray, Weetabix, Del Monte and Um Bongo. We have packaging capability in Cartons, PET, Aseptic PET and Cans.
Salary & Benefits
The salary for this role is circa £22,000 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a competitive annual bonus incentive and company pension scheme.
