Head of Strategy | West Midlands | £DOE + Great Package!
We are working with one of the largest and well respected Dairy Companies in the UK who are searching for an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Strategy to take on and develop long and short analysis and improvements.
This udderly fantastic opportunity (sorry) will see you taking the lead on the long term strategy of the business via analysis of markets, competitor developments, technological changes and long term macro trends. This position will see you leading the strategic planning process to help translate a high level 3-5 year objective into a reality, utilising a detailed annual plan each year. You would also be in regular communication and collaborating with a tremendous team of 'functional heads' eager to make plans a reality on the back of quality analysis of their sectors. They will be there to support, guide and actualise short term plans and longer term to ensure that the yearly objectives are met.
The intricacies of your role would see you providing regular analysis of competitor, operational, regulatory and financial considerations that need to be accounted for. This will be utilising both qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques and apply proven analytical frameworks and strategic business models and tools. You would also be happy to keep on top of developments within the dairy sector and related markets to keep you on the cutting edge of trends, competitor developments and shifts in customer needs. This will keep you very much in the know in the sector and, like this role - full of potential!
As you can imagine we are looking for an outstanding professional with the following attributes:
Degree educated, an MBA or Masters in business or strategy would be desirable. Background in food, consumer goods or agriculture also desirable.
Qualifications in strategy or development and a proven history of working strategic planning processes and analytical tools.
Great communication skills with business leaders and all other sectors along with the ability to influence others.
Merger and Acquisition experience, specifically on assessment and development and wider M&A process.
