Site General Manager
Speedibake is a division of Associated British Foods (ABF), a diversified international food, ingredients and retail group with sales of £13.4 billion and 130,000 employees in 47 countries.
Speedibake has bakery sites in Wakefield and Bradford specialising in own-label baked goods, we supply to a customer base across all channels; foodservice wholesalers, contract catering, end users, export and retail.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and successful General Manager who has a real passion for Food Manufacturing. The site manufactures muffins and garlic breads 6 days per week and also operates a large Finished Goods warehouse, dispatching up to 20 loads per day. Employing 350 people across 20 nationalities, the Bradford site is incredibly diverse.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this role is a key part of the Speedibake Leadership Team, and will get significant exposure at Board level.
You will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Bradford site, to include direct Line Management of the Site Management Team. You will be fully accountable for all aspects of managing a safe and profitable manufacturing site with a specific focus on driving performance, developing people and building a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Graduate calibre with strong financial awareness and wider business acumen
5yrs+ Senior Management level experience in an cost leadership FMCG environment
Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing strategy
Proven track record of driving and leading cultural and long term sustainable change
Demonstrable experience of building and managing high performing teams.
Possesses and demonstrates a strategic mind-set
Adopts a collaborative, inspiring and motivating leadership style
Engage stakeholders across at all levels within ABF
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Highly motivated – energetic, enthusiastic and always assumes positive intent
