Business Development Manager - Industrial & Foodservice

This role is to sell great bespoke chilled food products into manufacturers and foodservice wholesalers in Scotland. The company have existing listings with wholesalers and manufacturers and have a number of hot leads they are pursuing. We need a proven business manager to look after existing business, follow up leads and opportunities and drive new business. We need a considered and intelligent sales approach, proper research and business acumen is required.
The successful person will manage their own diary, find their own leads, suss out opportunities and follow them through. This will often require a number of initial meetings and research to establish needs, possible take back product briefs to the NPD team and develop a product bespoke to the customers needs.
This company has a great chilled foods product range and good NPD capability with skilled and innovative team.
Applicants MUST have sold food into industrial customers or foodservice wholesalers.
Package is salary in the £40s basic + bonus and car and benefits.
