Design and support the consistent and equitable deployment of salary, bonus, pension and benefits packages, for all colleague populations across the Group to attract and retain talent

Main responsibilities

Development, seek approval for and deploy a compensation and benefit strategy which ensures the group can attract, retain and engage colleagues of the required calibre

Design and maintain the basic compensation structures in the organisation (grading system, job sizing system, Role Profile policy, and promotion policy) with supporting materials and processes needed to provide a framework for equitably rewarding against the agreed remuneration strategy

Monitor government regulations and market trends to ensure that Group remuneration programs are legal, current, and competitive

Ensure appropriate Pensions are maintained. Working with Pension administrator to scan the pension regulatory framework and ensure Pension offering is compliant

Facilitating new policy /reviewing policy or proposed exceptions and seeking SLT approval as appropriate, to ensure appropriate alignment and consistency

Identifies benefits vendors, through agreed brokerage, and oversee the enrolment, renewal, and distribution processes for an organisation’s employees

Ensures the HR community have the necessary tools, education and support to apply agreed Group Reward and Remuneration policy consistently

Oversee the distribution of appropriate pay and benefits information to the organisation’s colleagues to retain and engage talent

Ensure the business is grounded in appropriate and relevant data relating to various elements of reward to ensure certainty for colleague and business around eligible benefits

Ideal candidate

Track record of developing and maintaining an effective remuneration strategy for a large, multi-site global/multi-national organisation

Knowledge of salary inflation and the market drivers

Prior career history to include work in either HR or Reward environment, operating at a senior leadership level where the role focuses on determining appropriate policy and practice

MCIPD or equivalent calibre

Experience in delivering to senior stakeholders

Working knowledge of Job Sizing methodologies sufficient to be able to make day to day judgements on new positions and engage with suppliers to review individual issues or group trends

Proven ability to deliver tools, education and processes necessary to support the consistent application of remuneration
