New Product Development Technologist
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Product Developer to join this respected global business supplying a diverse range of products to the UK retailers. This progressive food business are experiencing continual growth and are now seeking a switched on NPD Technologist to join their focused team.
In this key role you’ll be developing new products from concept to launch as well as updating existing portfolios in line with internal and customer briefs, project managing all NPD critical paths to ensure new ranges are launched on time and on budget. Confident and creative, you’ll use your NPD and culinary skills to cook up new product ideas for customer presentations, managing sample requests and impressing them with your foodie knowledge to leave them wanting more. Additional responsibilities will include working with suppliers to source the best and most efficient raw materials, ensuring customer and brand expectations as well as technical specifications are met. With your eye on the market you’ll also look out for emerging trends and new business opportunities, analysing and applying your findings to guarantee that the company remains at the forefront of innovation.
We are looking for a driven self starter who is commercially astute with previous experience of working in a customer facing development role within the chilled sector of food manufacturing. You’ll ideally have worked directly with the UK retailers and will fully understand their NPD process and approach to developing new products. Along with excellent organisation skills and the ability to drive multiple projects within set budgets and deadlines, you'll need to have great presentations skills and the confidence to excel in a customer focused role.
