Position: QC Technician - Aberdeen
Responsible To: Quality Supervisor
Responsible for ensuring all product is produced to the Quality standard and specification required by our customers and as stated in the Company Quality Manual
•Must follow and understand HACCP procedures.
•Must maintain a clean, safe and hygienic work area.
•Collect and carry out chemical analysis on all raw and cooked products daily.
•Take and record Factory and product temperatures four times daily.
•Inspect and record final pack label checks as required.
•Check and record bring temperature and strength hourly.
•Collect samples for micro testing, freezing and shelf life.
•Calibrate scales daily.
•Calibrate probes weekly.
•Check raw product is being cut and trayed up properly.
•Check and record findings on all incoming materials on delivery.
•To carry out monthly traceability audits
•ATP swabs to be carried out daily.
•Micro swabs to be carried out daily
•Hygiene audit to be carried out daily.
•Coding schedules to be checked weekly.
•All paperwork to be checked and signed off daily.
•Micro testing to be carried out on water and ice monthly.
•Glass audit to be carried out weekly.
•Ensure that the metal detectors are working correctly throughout production and that all metal rejects are handled correctly.
•Communicate issues and liaise with colleagues, Chargehands, Team Leaders and Managers regularly and as required.
•Ensure that the standard of housekeeping in the working area is high and the working area is safe.
•Compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
•Participate in any development and training programs put in place in line with attaining company goals and aims.
