Knowledge Transfer Manager | Pork | West Midlands
We are looking for a brilliant and experienced expert in the pork sector to join a well established and dynamic business currently leading the UK with up to date research in specific sectors. The research and market trends are then communicated to growers, producers and farmers UK & EU wide in an easily digested format where applicable to better optimise the production of the food we enjoy to date!
We are looking for someone in the pig sector who wants to be part of this industry leading body and with a drive and passion for the pork industry and farming. In this role you will be working closely with some of the most up to date information provided within the industry and not only managing teams in the UK but also looking after projects in the EU. You would be leading a team of experts collecting a great deal of information across the industry and managing the processing, distribution and publication of this information in a digestible and easily accessed format to better improve the UK and EU agricultural sector. These would be managed by business targets in line with sector performance.
To be successful in this role you will have a great background in the pig production sector or pork processing. This can range from growing up on a pig or livestock farm to working in the pork industry at the minute, in an R+D and Analytical role, for a minimum of 5 years. We would love to hear from you!
You would also have a good science or academic qualification in the industry that will help you in processing the information and best understanding the industries current adversities affecting the industry and bio security. This will also come with the ability to present to all groups be them farm meetings or processors.
Experience in management and a proven track record is essential to succeed and lead your team in gaining great results.
If you have experience in leading agricultural projects in the EU this will be looked on very favourably.
