As a Packaging Development Manager, the best part of your job must be seeing the finished product on the shelves, knowing that you had real influence over it and managed the project from the initial concept stage right the way through to completion.

Wouldn't it be exciting if this was high-end, luxury packaging for premium spirits?

Based in the cosmopolitan city of Edinburgh, this highly recognised premium spirit brand is one of the best known out there. Reporting to the Head of Innovation and NPD, there is a new opportunity for a Packaging Development Project Manager to join the existing team. You will be responsible for developing and delivering new packaging innovations across both premium spirit brands.

Working closely with the Operations and Marketing teams, you will be relied on as the packaging expert, providing expertise in packaging technology and innovation. It will be down to you to ensure that new packaging projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with luxury and visual perfection standards. Responsible for development budgets of £500K, you will assist Buyers in the preparation of tender documents and participate in supplier selection.

Communication and organisation skills are key as you will need to communicate the status of all live projects across cross-functional teams, managing the artwork development and the approval process.

So, what do you need in order to turn this opportunity into a reality?
  • A proven background in a similar role (across any packaging formats or markets)
  • Up to date knowledge of legal requirements for packaging materials
  • Reside in the Edinburgh area or be willing to relocate to the area
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and commercially aware with great attention to detail

With a whole host of benefits to mention including a daily lunch credit, this is a rare opportunity to join a luxury brand and work in a thriving city with so much to offer! Relocation costs can also be covered by the company for the right person.
