Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) | Fresh Produce
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to be part of the Maintenance team at their production site in Stevenage. This role will be covering the late shift including afternoons and evenings, working 4 shifts per week.
Candidates must have completed the 17th Edition wiring training and have experience of working in fast-paced manufacturing environments. If you have worked with fruit or vegetable processing machinery, I would definitely like to speak to you!
As part of the Maintenance team, you will use your knowledge of manufacturing machinery to carry out reactive and planned maintenance across the factory. Supporting the production teams by identifying training needs where necessary and coaching operators to improve performance. In addition, the Multi-Skilled Engineer will need to support production managers by identifying and carrying out improvements to the machinery and staff training needs.
A good knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance activities, Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations will be essential to ensure that all plant machinery is used efficiently and safely.
Flexibility on working times is essential to keep the factory running during peak periods. You will also need to have a recognised Engineering qualification.
The shift pattern is working:
Wednesday - 12noon to 11pm
Thursday - 11am to 10pm
Friday - 10am to 9pm
Saturday - 9am to 8pm
This role would suit Maintenance Technicians, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineers or Shift Engineers. Experience of working in the food or fresh produce industries would be highly beneficial.
