We are looking for an L&D Specialist to join our team supporting our key management and leadership agenda. You’ll be working as part of our Talent & Development Team, reporting to our Leadership Development Manager. With Kiveton as a primary base, you will be required to travel (fully expensed) across our network of sites with occasional overnight stays.

Main responsibilities

Working flexibly across the group you’ll be responsible for workshop management, co-ordination and delivery for our Line Manager Framework suite of programmes. From overseeing demand and planning, through to design and delivery of workshop events you’ll be at the heart of supporting our managers to learn and grow. You’ll be a seasoned and experienced trainer with extensive delivery and design experience to multiple audiences and spanning many locations. As well as deliver to our 2,500 managers you’ll be responsible for making sure that our core team of workshop facilitators have the skills, experience and confidence to deliver our programmes, providing coaching, mentoring and feedback will be vital. With experience having managed teams before you’ll find supporting, developing and guiding this group a rewarding part of the role.  

Underpinning all of this you’ll play a key role in the design, delivery and execution of everything that makes up our fantastic Line Manager Framework, from leading our Yammer community, owning the portal , being first point of contact for our many managers through to launching and designing materials you’ll be a key contributor to its success. You’ll have a proven track record of high quality delivery and an ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders, along with the confidence and experience that comes with having worked in a similar role. You’ll also provide support and coordination for many of our management and leadership initiatives such as Greencore Qualifications, supporting both planning and delivery of core induction events, and supporting with coaching and mentoring delegates.

Ideal candidate

You’ll come with grass roots experience delivering training to a wide range of colleagues, have extensive experience managing budgets and excellent attention to detail. Your excellence in communication, be that face to face or from a distance, written or verbal will shine through and you’ll have a strong ability to engage people and bring them on a journey with you. Great at forging and building relationships, you’ll be well in tune with your audience, having worked in an operational role with line managers you’ll be able to flex and adjust your style to get the best results. You’ll use these skills to effectively develop, lead and manage external supplier relationships too.

Providing this support across all our UK sites, and to managers working 24-7 you’ll need to be able and open to working flexibly which will include travel, overnight stays and working a variety of days/times and across many locations. With an eye for detail, and a track history of creating high quality work in a fast paced environment you’ll play a vital role in making sure what we deliver continues to be world class.
