Supporting the QA Manager, as Quality Assurance Assistant you will assist with the implementation of HACCP, food safety procedures and global standards for the unit including reviewing and improving the existing standards.
You will assist in internal and external audits, review the unit’s microbiological schedule and take action if any deviation occurs, develop and implement a Crisis Management Procedure, improve the traceability system to include packaging and mass balance traceability plus assist the QA Manager in developing an adequate cleaning schedule including monitoring.
You will be educated to or working towards a degree in a food related discipline and any previous QA experience working in the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable. You will have knowledge of HACCP and any food safety systems and/or lead auditor training is an advantage. You will also be computer literate to an intermediate level in MS Office. To succeed, you will enjoy a fast-paced environment, have a team approach and have the willingness to travel.
The Quality Assurance Assistant job is based in the Home Counties / London region and is paying up to £19,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are 5 days out of 7 (rota), 40 hours per week in between the hours of 7am – 10.30pm. There also may be the need to work the occasional night shift to prepare for site audits.
