Head of Farm Estate
We are delighted to be partnering with Place UK, one of the country's leading farming, soft fruit growing and processing businesses in the UK.
Due to the substantial growth of the business we are looking to appoint a new role to oversee the company's Estate and Farming operations.
Initially reporting to the Operations Director, but with aspirations of becoming an Executive Board Member, the Head of Farm will be responsible for achieving the agreed financial and production targets for the fruit and arable enterprises for which they are responsible.
The successful candidate will have an Agricultural or Business Management Degree, experience of running a farming business and managing a large number of staff in a high-speed process environment. They will be required to lead a team to deliver positive KPI results in the key areas of People (including health and safety), Quality, Cost and Service that deliver against the wider operations strategy.
The successful candidate will develop and implement business unit operations strategy and continually review and adjust the strategy in line with internal and external changes. They will also be required to understand and develop the requirements for Capital funding:
*To meet the need for development of new products as defined through innovation & NPD based on market need
*To meet the need for production efficiency improvement
*To meet the need for asset replacement
The successful candidate will need experience of commercial negotiation in conjunction with their Marketing company strategic planning and performance monitoring, project management and Estate Management.
Soft fruit growing knowledge would be an advantage but is not a necessity.
