Supply Planning Team Leader

Location: Enfield

Competitive Salary + Bonus + Pension

Role Purpose:

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of two Supply planners
  • Manage and continuously improve supply planning processes and systems, capturing in Standard Operating Procedures and providing training as required
  • Ensure optimum stock levels at the right place at the right time, in a most cost efficient and consistent way
  • Manage day-to-day planning for own suppliers / brands whilst ensuring workload balance as required

Accountabilities:

  • Develop, manage and support Supply Planners in their day-to-day supply planning activities and decision-making processes
  • Ensure Supply Planners fully aware of processes, procedures and best practices to successfully:
  • Develop accurate and efficient supply plans
  • Ensure optimum stock levels at all times, minimising risk of out of stock (OOS) and overstock
  • Evaluate supplier constraints and provide for stock builds as required
  • Ensure correct planning of new product introduction and obsolete product discontinuation
  • Ensure timely escalation and visibility of supply issues
  • Develop & communicate Supply KPIs and reporting
  • External relationships: Suppliers

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in Food Manufacturing or FMCG
  • Team leadership experience and skills, advanced planning skills
  • Experience driving continuous improvements and managing projects
  • Able to influence colleagues across the business and at all levels
  • Analytical, critical thinker who is able to see “bigger picture” and drive change
  • Good communication & presentation skills
  • Strong excel, planning systems competent
  • Driven individual, degree level or calibre
