Specification Technologist - Raw Materials
The role is required to request, upload, review and approve ingredient specifications for raw materials supplied to the company using Hamilton Grant. Ensure provision of data is conducted in a timely manner and to
the correct “Gold” standard as well as ongoing maintenance of data to ensure all information is correct, accurate and to the agreed standard.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBILITIES
Dealing with specification requests (both internally and with the suppliers).
Prompt action of new Raw Material requests via the database as required.
Requesting, uploading, checking, processing, approving and maintaining raw material specifications on the Hamilton Grant specification database as required in conjunction with internal teams and the suppliers.
Dealing directly with company raw material suppliers as required.
Ensuring all necessary information on the raw material specification is completed and correct to enable the
generation of accurate finished product specifications and product labels which meet with all relevant
Provide support and knowledge of systems and products to other team members and to technical divisions.
Liaise with the Factory Technical Managers, NPD and Procurement so as to provide the support necessary
to ensure products are compliant with the customer specifications.
Answer queries and provide technical information for ingredients including allergens, country of origin, shelf
life and nutritional information etc as required.
Provision of reports and completion of questionnaires and databases as and when required.
Maintenance of a workload management tool for own area.
Identify own training needs and work with the Senior to agree time plan for achieving requirements.
Support projects from concept plan to completion as required.
Ensure that all raw material specifications within own area are maintained and not exceeding 3 year cycle of

Answering requests for information from the Finished Product team, Consumer Care and Regulatory team
in a timely manner.
Maintaining and managing raw material changes that have an impact on the Retailer specifications and/or
back of pack information. Ensuring all changes are captured, communicated and change managed through
