Job Purpose

Ensure all bakeries ovens are planned in support of assembly (finished goods) production or business requirements.


Role Accountability

Creation and Issue of rolling 3 week production plans for all bakeries on site in collaboration with Bakery, Logistical and Planning teams with the target of 100% customer service to stakeholders internal and external.

Plan all storage and/or external bakery required stock from production to external warehouse storage ensuring optimum utilisation of local and external storage within agreed limits.

Ensure accurate information is communicated in a timely and efficient manner. Cultivate contact with customers and Supply Chain team to build trust and recommend changes in practices.

Plan and raise orders for all silo (flour) requirements on site.

Plan and raise orders for a limited number of fresh materials required for assembly production.

Actively participate in all relevant production/planning meetings on site ensuring input for short, mid and long term challenges in bakery plans.

Any other duties that may be required.


Must Haves

Excellent communication skills

The ability to demonstrate attention to detail, excellent organisation and time management skills.

Ability to multi task, especially when under pressure.

Accomplished Computer Literacy.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.

Drive, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.



Previous Experience working in planning department or role ideally within the FMCG sector, alternatively experience in a manufacturing environment would be favourable.

Previous experience in scheduling highly favourable especially using software such as Preactor.

Excel to advanced level
