Senior Product Developer (12 month FTC)
This is a brilliant chance to work for a premium food business supplying an extensive range of products for the food retail and manufacturing industry. They are currently seeking a confident and commercially astute Senior Product Developer for a 12 month FTC to help drive the NPD process from concept to launch in line with their innovation strategy.
Developing branded products within a fast moving sector you’ll be responding to customer briefs and using your creative flair to drive exciting new concepts that reflect up and coming food trends. Your role will encompass all stages of innovation from idea generation and development to consumer testing, factory trials and full scale launch to market, ensuring category innovation goals are achieved according the company’s commercial vision.
You’ll be refreshing existing ranges where you’ll develop and adapt recipes to improve taste, texture, quality and cost whilst managing suppliers to ensure budget objectives are met in line with business strategy. You’ll also work with key retail customers on a daily basis, keeping them updated on the critical path and product progress, ensuring expectations are met all the way to guarantee the continued success of this forward thinking food business.
We are looking for an ambitious food science graduate who has gained valuable NPD concept to launch experience within a dynamic food manufacturing environment. With a proven track record of developing concepts for the UK retailers you’ll be able to demonstrate your excellent project management skills in order to launch successful products into the market place. You’ll also need to have great communication skills as you’ll be liaising with internal teams as well as suppliers and a key customer base.
