About you

You always ensure that your drivers are where they need to be, with every delivery item they need when they get there. Your obsession with planning, efficiency and problem solving makes you more than just a Logistics Manager. You are the reassurance that deliveries will run smoothly. Every time.

You are an experienced Logistics Manager working within a respected food service provider or FMCG business. You will have management experience in a multi drop, time sensitive environment with strong man management and route planning skills. You possess a highly organised approach and a thorough knowledge and understanding of transport issues.

The role         

You will ensure without compromise that the quality and accuracy of despatch, transportation and distribution of products are maintained at the highest possible levels always. You will manage efficient driver route allocations, holiday and sick leave cover to ensure all stores needs are met, effectively managing your team and ensuring all company processes are followed. You will maintain, monitor and improve as necessary all transport administration procedures, along with any associated documentation, to ensure the efficient and effective operation of systems.

You will recruit, train and develop your delivery and warehouse team and ensure all departmental, company and legislative health & safety and hygiene requirements, standards and procedures are consistently adhered to.

This position requires a working week of 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, (one weekend working per month), with a 4am start and finish around noon.
