Looking for an experienced Factory Manager who runs a tight ship...

Our client is a small manufacturing business making chilled and frozen foods for their loyal customer base. Staff turnover is abnormally low on this site and so reflects the great culture that exists.

As Factory Manager you will be accomplished in assessing the production floor and ensuring that the food is being made according to specification, while maintaining efficiencies and not shorting orders.

You will have a friendly, but firm manner which will ensure that you get the best out of the loyal workforce. Your ability to manage the whole of the factory and all that this entails will be of vital support to your manager who covers all aspects of the whole site and needs to know that this element of the business is in safe hands.

The essence of the Factory Manager role is to oversee all aspects of day to day production. Essentially this is a 8-4 / 9-5 based role, however, as in any 24/7 operation there is the occasional requirement to work across the shifts if there are problems that need to be seen/experienced in order to be addressed. You may well want to spend some time on each shift whether there is a problem or not - the role is yours to do what you will with it, as long as the operational side runs smoothly.

We have touched on the fact that this business is obviously doing something right. Staff turnover is low and morale is high - even though there are other businesses that employees can go to. This business is a very positive environment to work in. You will find that staff are eager to do their best and contribute to the greater good.

You will continue contributing to this well-being. Part of the Factory Manager's role is to keep an eye out for future stars and to enable them to become the best that they can be. You support the concept of good communication and will keep all levels of staff up to date with any relevant news / facts / figures. You also encourage an environment where everyone feels they can suggest improvements - give the staff a sense of ownership and you will reap the rewards.

If this sounds like the type of business where you could do well, then send in your CV today - take that step towards a new chapter in your career!
