Continuous Improvement Manager
Eden Scott’s client is a highly successful, rapidly expanding food manufacturer based in Fraserburgh. Due to continued growth and customer demand, they are now looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join the business.
Reporting to the Site Director and responsible for challenging the efficiency of the business processes and creating a culture of continuous improvement within the company.
Key responsibilities will include:
Identify areas of inefficiency within the production process and develop solutions to remove or improve the process at these points.
Support business operations through the collection, reporting and analysis of data relating to production outputs;
Use Lean Sigma tools to help identify areas of improvement and coach others within the business.
Ensure improvements are actioned in accordance with safety and legal requirements
Use information generated to recommend, develop and implement improvement initiatives which are aligned to business goals (waste reduction, cost reduction /value creation and yield increase);
Contribute positively and be actively involved in Green/Yellow belt initiatives
HND/HNC qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Strong track record of working constructively with other functions of the business (NPD, Planning, HR etc),
Ability to train processes and procedures to new operatives.
Understanding and appreciation of health and safety, hygiene, quality, food hygiene and legality.
Leadership and people skills to develop, motivate and encourage all team members to participate and contribute fully to the effective performance of the business
Operational knowledge and experience
Ability to perform well under pressure and have the ability to deliver to deadlines
Expert at influencing and challenging in a positive manner
