You have the chance to join a specialist manufacturer that are growing from strength due to excellent product placement & a solid order book. As the Interim Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading a production team & supporting the senior management team in driving key objectives.

This growing organisation manufacture an array of consumer products which they supply into the FMCG market. Their site in the Peterborough area is going through an exciting period & as the as the Interim Operations Manager you will be play a key part in ensuring OTIF levels are maintained & that your team drives the business to continued success.



Description

As the Interim Operations Manager you have the opportunity to join an exceptionally experienced team. You will be supporting the company in driving the business forward & ensuring their continued success. You will be working closely with the senior management team & key responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring production targets & driving performance ensuring continuous improvement approach at all times
  • Ensuring plans are met in the most efficient manner to deliver 100% plan attainment and customer service
  • Achieving operational responsiveness through the expediting of orders using tools such as the outstanding list to attain company on time in full (OTIF) objectives
  • Deliver daily briefings to the operative teams
  • Oversee the engineering team in line with meeting production targets
  • Leading by example & demonstrate a safety first approach at all times & all safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Ensure all team members are fully trained on all aspects of their roles
  • Ensure the workplace is clean, tidy and organised at all times to facilitate a safe working environment & GMP
  • Ensure standards of hygiene and housekeeping are strictly maintained
  • Ensure any non-conformances are fully documented and appropriate corrective action applied


Profile

An Operations Manager with prior experience managing a team within a FMCG/fast paced manufacturing environment who also has the following:
  • The ability to think clearly & make quick decisions under pressure
  • An understanding of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques
  • Effective communication of performance feedback & instruction to your team
  • The ability to lead a cross functional team
  • The ability to motivate & encourage a team to reach defined KPIs
  • Health and Safety awareness






Job Offer

Circa £200 - £300 Per day
