This is a fabulous opportunity to join a growing innovation team within an industry leading food manufacturing business.

As Product Development Controller, you will drive critical path progression within Product Development and work as the internal stakeholder to progress customer agendas on site and effectively deliver future business planning. 

Main responsibilities

You will manage the creative process within the product development category, whilst coaching and developing the team to maximise their creative potential, supporting your team to ensure they are focused, engaged and striving to the highest of standards at all times.  As Product Development Controller, you will need to ensure that you have sufficient resources in place at all times to enable you and your team to achieve against plan. 

Working alongside the Marketing and Commercial teams, you will identify and suggest food trends to influence concept direction, aligned to the category vision.  You’ll also be looking to identify new and existing opportunities within the category.

A key focus of the role will be around building strong relationships, both internally and externally, to manage the customer’s Product Development relationship.  You’ll act as the customer’s voice on site to ensure that any issues are identified and resolved swiftly.
