This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven Mechanical Engineer with a high skill level in welding/fabrication. Our client design and manufacture bespoke process and complex packaging machinery for use in food factories or pharmaceutical companies so a high standard of work and good attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities of the role include:

*To carry out effective preventative maintenance and performance improvement tasks to maximise equipment availability
*Provide process & facilities breakdown and emergency support; identify and recover fault situations
*Installation and commissioning of equipment
*Execute routine safety checks and timely calibration of machines and equipment
*Assist in the management of spares inventories
*Development of new and existing Maintenance Procedures and review of working practices
*Participate in cross functional improvement project teams
*Conduct effective shift handovers with other members of the team and reporting of machine/process performance.

This role will be right for you if you have and a proactive, can-do attitude. You will need a recognised Engineering qualification and/or an apprenticeship and relevant work experience. Excellent welding skills are a must due to the precision nature of the machinery involved.
