Is part of an International Seafood Group specialising in the sourcing of fish and seafood from around the world.
The business has recognisable flagship brands but also serves the seafood market with packer brands and customer own brand items.
Will assist the QA Manager in the management of the Company's QA system; by ensuring that products supplied to our customers meet both quality and legal criteria. This will involve:
·To assist and provide support in the checking of labelling of orders to ensure it adheres with product requirements and legislation.
·To perform and manage calibration schedule within specified tolerances - scales, temperature probes, stopwatch.
·Ensure the integrity of the packaging is sound and that product remains in good condition.
·Ensure labelling is legible and complies with labelling regulations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will need to have a background in a similar role within the food industry. On top of this you will also need:
·The ability to work with clients and suppliers to ensure all specifications and quality standards are properly documented and updated to required standards.
·Working knowledge of a manufacturing environment including GMP, HACCP and BRC.
·Good communication skills for dealing with suppliers and customers
·Strong work ethic and excellent administration and IT skills
