Job purpose

To plan, manage and control the production of our new Meat Plant to ensure quality of products, timely delivery of products and cost efficiency.

Key Accountabilities

Safety, security and maintenance.
 Ensure full implementation of the safety & security procedures and track their effectiveness in order to reach zero accidents.
 Train and educate all staff on safety and security procedures to achieve full awareness among all staff.
 Prepare yearly maintenance plan of the facility and its equipment and follow up on full implementation

Productivity of the Plant
 Ensure the effective and efficient planning and utilization of staff to maximize productivity
 Review and implement improvement programs/systems to enhance the productivity of the Plant.
 Analyze and report productivity KPI’s for the Plant.
 Review and enhance production processes, controls and specifications on an ongoing basis

Budget and Expense control
 Ensure employee expenses, utilities and maintenance expenses are within budget
 Ensure the warehouse storage capacity is maximized

Quality Assurance
 Ensure that the Plant fully complies with all QA standards.
 Ensure trainings are done on time in coordination with QA Supervisor.
 Ensure full compliance on housekeeping, pest control, sanitization and maintenance SOP’s.
 Prepare and facilitate internal and external audits and ensure that action plans are implemented on time
 Direct and develop as needed process control procedures to ensure production of finished products meet quality specifications and standards.
 Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations including licenses and permit

Coaching and People Development
 Provide the team with the necessary formal training, coaching and mentoring to increase their capabilities and maximize their productivity

Custody of inventory
 To safeguard the inventory quantity and quality and implement stock count policies and procedures.
 To investigate and identify reasons behind stock variances and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy
 Ensure WMS procedures are implemented in order to improve stock accuracy
 Ensure proper implementation of FIFO.

Customer Management
 Facilitate customer visits to the Plant
 Support the Sales team, if requested, during customer visits
 Advise Commercial team on pricing of products

Job requirements:

 Degree in Supply Chain or other related field

 Minimum of 10 years of relevant operations experience out of which 5 years of department management experience. Manufacturing and operations experience highly preferred. Food industry experience and understanding of HACCP, USDA, FDA, OSHA, BRC , EEC regulations are required.
 Proven integrity in the areas of employee safety, quality, and food safety.
