Senior New Product Development Technologist
Our client is leader in their field and provide high quality convenience food to retailers and brands. Due to significant growth within the business and category they are seeking a Senior NPD Technologist to join the development team and help develop various products in line with the NPD strategy.
Reporting to the NPD Manager you will take responsibility for the development of creative products and solutions for both new and existing ranges in response to customer briefs. This will involve managing projects through all the stages of the NPD process from concept to launch, encompassing creative development and commercial evaluation as well as being mindful of costings and technical requirements. You’ll also be keeping up with seasonal food trends and undertaking competitor analysis whilst benchmarking and presenting products to customers and capturing potential new business opportunities.
An important aspect of the role will include liaising closely with suppliers and customers, working in close partnership with them to ensure your products are developed and launched in line with brand values. In addition you will take responsibility for identifying new suppliers, sourcing raw materials plus obtaining costs and specifications.
We are looking for an ambitious food graduate who has gained product development experience within a food manufacturing environment. You’ll have a proven track record of developing concepts for the UK retailers where you have demonstrated excellent presentation, organisation and project management skills to deliver successful products into the market place. You’ll also have great communication skills as you’ll be liaising with internal teams as well as suppliers and a high profile customer base.
