They are in a great position with a growing turnover and are looking for new additions to join their ever-growing team.

The Role:

  • Purchasing of all packaging for the business

As a Packaging Buyer, you will be reporting directly to Head of Procurement. In this role, you will be working on maintaining and developing relationships with existing and potential suppliers. In addition, you will be constantly seeking new innovative and sustainable forms of packaging working closely with the retailers to offer the best solution available. This might be working on material optimization, performance and sustainability.

In this position, you will negotiate for NPD materials to ensure the best possible 'total' cost for a delivered new material, without compromising on the quality or service. There will be travel to other sites involved so you will need to be flexible.

This role requires strong communication skills, with respect to the content and quality of the communication as well as delivery method - verbal and written communication form the backbone of this role. In addition, you will have a calm, professional manner, and approach things pragmatically and consider solutions that deliver on different levels to the business (e.g.: no detriment to quality, keeping on-cost down, within specification and in time).

Ideally, you will be CIPS/degree qualified (or working towards it) and have a full driving licence as the role might include travelling to travel in UK and potentially EU.
