The company

The job

As Category Analyst, you will establish yourself as an integral part of a UK retailer account team in order to maintain company status as category experts within the customer supply base.

You will provide analytical support to the Category Manager, identify & clearly articulate historical, current and forecast trends in order to make informed decisions on the future direction of the category, highlight issues affecting sales and other key metrics, develop & implement analysis monitoring tools plus lead and coordinate the store audit process.

Your experience

To be considered for the Category Analyst job, you will be a graduate within marketing, business, economics, category management or related discipline where you possess an understanding of analysing and presenting category information. A food business related degree would be most ideal, together with understanding of the UK major grocery sector. Knowledge of data management systems such as Kantar, IRI or Nielsen would also be beneficial. You will possess strong organisational skills together with excellent communication and presentation skills. You will also be flexible to travel between sites as required; a full UK driving licence is essential.

The Category Analyst job is split between the company site and customer site located in the West Midlands and Yorkshire. The role is paying £23,000 - £27,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus car allowance (£5,700) and benefits including company pension, 33 days holiday, childcare vouchers plus learning and development opportunities.
