The Company
Our client is a well-established manufacturer producing inspiring product ranges within the dynamic chilled food category. With their strong consumer understanding and retail customer focus they have acquired a distinctive market presence. They are now looking for a proactive Site Process Controller to drive innovation and continuous improvement, helping to continue their success and retain their position as a key player in their market.
The Role
As part of the Site Leadership Team, you’ll be taking overall responsibility for delivering the successful launches of products that have been developed from the kitchen to factory scale up. You’ll ensure all development projects and procedures are completed in line with company and customer launch plans. You will manage and implement suitable critical paths to guarantee that launches are fully timetabled, documented and communicated as well as certifying that all products are developed in conjunction with technical, legal and quality values.
You’ll actively support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that budget needs are met regarding raw materials, ingredients and packaging, challenging suppliers where necessary in order to maintain the company’s high level of service. Responsibilities will also include the commissioning of new equipment for the company’s pilot plant, testing and installing the latest technologies to ensure product consistency and quality.
The Candidate
Suit a Process Development professional with a food related degree or equivalent qualification alongside experience in food manufacturing within the chilled sector. You’ll have a proven track record of successfully supporting and motivating a team of Technologists to meet targets, demonstrating excellent project management abilities as well as first class organisation and communication skills. Knowledge of good hygiene practices and quality standards including HACCP and lean manufacturing techniques is essential alongside a high level of computer literacy in order to effectively present and deliver your ideas.
