OUR CLIENT is a leading importer and trader of food products for the UK foodservice, manufacturing and retail sectors.

THE SHIPPING COORDINATOR
Reporting in to the Shipping Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all containers ship to the schedule provided by Planning. Other key responsibilities will include:
·Ensuring shipping arrives on time and is booked in to the relevant warehouse.
·Daily chasing of all original documents needed from the supplier to ensure that clearance at the port is efficient.
·Updating key reports with all details and highlighting arrival changes to Shipping team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Will be a Shipping Coordinator who is experienced in dealing with a worldwide supply base with a background in Ocean Shipping. You will also have been used to the moving of containers of goods, have experience of dealing with agents, be familiar with commodity codes and used to shipping documentation.
Other key skills will include:
·Excellent Excel skills are essential for this role
·Must be comfortable with paperwork and information systems
·Great knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
·Import experience
