A great opportunity for an experienced strategic sourcing professional with in-depth chilled ingredients experience.

We have a great opportunity for a high calibre Category Purchasing Manager to join a thriving business with further exciting growth plans.

Our client is already a success story in the UK, supplying chilled products to leading retailers and food service clients. We are looking for a highly ambitious and driven individual to strengthen the team in preparation for continued expansion.

You will need to be a highly accomplished food manufacturing purchasing professional with progressive experience in global sourcing, strategic planning and supplier development. You will need to have category management experience, sourcing and implementing new product lines and be able to ensure the right pricing and promotional support is provided.

Ingredients sourcing experience within a food manufacturing environment is essential for this role. Your remit will include sourcing and developing key suppliers that will bring innovation and cost -value to your category. This will entail close liaison with a number of internal stakeholders including the Technical, Product Development and Supply Chain teams, to ensure relevant technical specifications and delivery requirements are met.

You will be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have outstanding negotiation skills.
