Process Engineer

Eden Scott’s client is a highly successful, rapidly expanding manufacturing business based in the Central Belt of Scotland. Due to increased customer demand, an opportunity has now become available for a Process Engineer to join the team

Key responsibilities

Process optimisation of key unit operations such as fermentation, separation, evaporation, filtration and spray drying to increase throughput, improve yields and quality

Design work to develop equipment

Mange the implementation of process improvement projects

Reviewing customer requirements; customer specifications and technical drawings 

Supporting product-focused operational needs including: validating new derivative process capabilities and establishing new manufacturing capacity capabilities.

Understanding product performance requirements and correlating them to in-process measurements and settings

Documenting work via procedures, reports, specification and design review systems and the quality system.

Ideal candidate:

Degree qualified, or equivalent, in Engineering (Chemical Engineering or Process Control preferred)

Experience gained in food, pharmaceutical or process is preferred

Understanding of practical implementation of (GMP)

Focus on delivery of results time/cost/quality

Highly numerate with good problem-solving skills

Proven written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well with in a multidiscipline team and demonstrate strong networking skills across varied disciplines.
