The purpose of your role is to manage the development of profitable sales and customer base in accordance with sector, region and product objectives.
You will manage existing and develop new business towards agreed targets, liaise with site/distribution functions to deliver appropriate service levels at lowest cost to company, be aware of competitor activity and market share, maintain comprehensive knowledge of product markets, develop customer relationships towards preferred supplier status, maintain comprehensive records for customers and prospects, liaise with credit control team in relation to customer payment terms and credit limits plus report back on market intelligence.
To be considered for the Business Manager job, you will possess a strong commercial, account management or new business development track record within the food manufacturing industry. You will be a confident communicator, be skilled in making formal presentations and possess advanced negotiation skills. An in-depth knowledge of the bakery ingredients industry would be a distinct advantage. You will also be educated to an A Level standard or equivalent and a full UK valid driving licence is essential.
The Business Manager is a field-based role covering the Midlands region and is paying £50,000 plus company car.
