The role
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and driven Technical Administrator. The role will be to provide comprehensive and pro-active day-to-day administrative support to the Technical departments.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of BRC standards and ideally relevant experience working within the FMCG, seafood or frozen sectors. The ideal candidate will also have excellent time management and IT skills, including Microsoft Office. An eye for detail is essential within this role
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Co-ordination of sending microbiological samples, monitoring results, trending data, filing certificates, flagging up issues to the business.
- Maintenance of Technical documentation, including raw materials, finished products, certificates of analysis, third party accreditations, self-audit questionnaires, calibration records and similar.
- To generate reports concerning microbiology, non-conformances and product characteristics for use by others within the Technical department, to facilitate the continuous improvement of the site.
- Management of customer complaints, in terms of logging, investigating and writing reports.Generation of the monthly technical report, including trending data for complaints, supplier non-conformances, internal audits, pest control and KPIs.
- Report non-conformances to suppliers and co-ordinate responses and trending information.
- Completion of internal audits (internal auditing qualification essential).
- General administration duties including document control and management of the QMS, filing, emailing, word-processing, photocopying, printing and similar.
- Requesting information from suppliers to allow the completion of specifications and risk assessments.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of BRC standards and retailer codes of practice.
- Computer literate including MS Office software.
- Ability to write procedures and manuals.
- Diligent in performing tasks and ability to carry out detailed work.
- Committed to the delivery of excellent hygiene standards of the site.
