This is a rotating pattern of 3 days one week and 4 days the next within a  8am to 8pm shift

The role

To join a market leading business who are at the top of their game for a limited period to manage and oversee a particular area of the business

Duties

Supplier Approval: - sending out the technical pack to all suppliers and making sure it is correctly completed with any certification necessary

Intake Quality: - making sure all raw materials that arrive at the company are within the agreed specification. Auditing the PDA/ Principle Suite QC checks on a daily basis.

Intake QC’s: - managing the day to day issues around the QC team, like problems with deliveries, QC holidays/ sickness etc.

Specifications: - All produce specifications are created and maintained.

Supplier Audits: - trained auditor carrying out full supplier/ grower audits.

Supplier Visits: - visiting suppliers/ growers on a daily/ weekly basis making sure everything at farm level is OK. Also where we may have issues with quality or a problem with a delivery it is my job to go out to suppliers to investigate.

Pesticide Testing: - sampling of goods to send away for testing.

Procurement Team: - working very closely with the procurement team around new suppliers/ raw materials and approvals. Keeping them up to date with any issues we may be having with quality.

Production Team: - working very closely with all of the production team keeping them up to date with any quality issues we may be having.

Varieties/ NPD: - visiting all the major trials and open days, keeping up to date with all the new technologies etc. and bringing them back to show the NPD team.

Coming from an agronomy background would be an advantage
