The Role

In this diverse and challenging role you will take responsibility for the technical aspects of own label products, applying your technical expertise and managing the launch of exciting product categories. This will involve working with suppliers as well as internal teams to deliver products that are consistently high quality whilst remaining fresh, tasty and healthy with a competitive edge.

Drawing on collective experience and expertise to apply corrective and preventative action where necessary to reduce potential risk. With an eye for the here and now as well as the bigger picture you’ll develop and deliver quality improvement plans and strategic technical goals for your category, enhancing quality systems to uphold excellent standards throughout product lifecycles to guarantee a flawless product experience for consumers.

The Person

We are looking for a confident and motivated Technical professional with a Food Science or related qualification as well as a great understanding of ingredients and nutritional aspects of food production. You will ideally have worked within food manufacturing or retail, and are now looking for an exciting, high profile role to enhance your career. You'll need an exceptional working knowledge of technical and quality standards and product development as well as an analytical approach to improving products and processes.

Previous experience of working with suppliers to deliver a supply strategy in line with brand values and business goals would also be advantageous. Outstanding communication, influencing and relationship building skills are essential as you’ll be liaising with internal teams as well as suppliers on a regular basis, working with them to produce award winning products. In addition some travel will be required, so a valid UK driving licence would be useful.
