To clarify, this isn't some tin pot shed with rusting, failing equipment. This couldn't be further from the truth - one of the areas is the most advanced in the world (so, after this role you can genuinely say you work for a world leader).
The other factory this role manages isn't exactly shabby either. So, where's the disconnect and why the need for this role?
The answer is twofold:
The result of the two goals is the creation of this new Engineering Manager role. Sound appealing? If so, and you have demonstrated strategic thinking, change programs and have multi-factory experience (ideally in the food manufacturing sector), this role will see you working in an environment no one within your food manufacturing peer group will be able to compete with (think more car factory than food factory).
