Operations Manager

A successful food business with a number of branded food products require a talented Operations Manager with the potential to progress. The Opportunity:

The Operations Manager manages the factory site and is involved with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes on site. They ensure that all site operations are done in a safe manner, to budget and effectively.  They ensure the correct amount is produced at the right cost and at the right level of quality and meet the targets set by the annual budget. They are responsible for the asset management and maintenance of the facility.

You:

• Degree educated (or equivalent), a degree in the following subjects being beneficial; food science/technology, process engineering, business/management and or/ transport/distribution/logistics
• Demonstrate a successful track record in a food factory in an operations management role;
• Proven experience in a senior management role in the food industry;
• Managed a large production team (direct and agency labor);
• KPI management i.e. process, quality, performance improvements, areas of cost reduction, site rationalisation etc.; and
• Have successfully driven through manufacturing improvements on all operational fronts
