Factory Manager

Job Title: Factory Manager
Salary: £60,000-£65,000pa + package
Location: Cambridgeshire

World-class manufacturer within the food sector, is looking to strengthen its management team as part of an ongoing strategic growth plan. The successful candidate will be the number one on site, and tasked with delivering production and leading a successful team.

The suitable candidate must have the ability to drive optimisation and productivity within a low-cost base and to ensure the factory and operations are managed efficiently to the required Health and Safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in chilled or short shelf life products, and be forward thinking with experience of lean methodologies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
*Direct the activities of the factory team on a daily basis to achieve KPIs
*Develop and support a cross functional culture to achieve best use of material, labour, equipment and time
*Ensure compliance with Quality and Best Practice procedures to BRC level
*Ensure all customer orders are met, regarding service level and quality
*Manage Health and Safety Agenda for the factory and surrounding area to agreed plan
*Drive daily meetings to analyse, action and report on business KPIs
*Work with the HR and H&S teams to ensure behaviours, performance and best practice are achieved and standards met
*Control the factory hygiene and housekeeping agendas to agreed auditable level
*Responsible for all customer visits to site - commercial and technical
*Ensure the maintenance function is cost effective and proactive
*Responsibility for agreed CAPEX projects, sourcing and delivery
*Implement a CI and lean culture.

EXPERIENCE:
*A minimum of 5 years proven experience within a Factory Manager/ Operations/Senior Production
*Demonstrable leadership and man management skills
*Health and Safety - IOSH or equivalent
*Proven track record of continuous improvement
*Excellent interpersonal skills an ability to communicate at all levels
*Numerate
