Job Title: Specification Technologist
Location: South East
Salary: Very Competitive (DOE)
The Candidate:
- Educated to degree level, ideally in food manufacturing or a food related field (or similar level of experience).
- 2+ years' practical experience of food manufacturing legislative requirements with regards to labelling and specifications.
- You will have working knowledge and understanding in customer online product specifications.
- Strong computer skills; Microsoft Excel and other packages. SAP experience a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures.
The Role:
- Maintain all customer specification portals to the required standard ensuring that all information is accurate and up to data
- Checking and approving product artwork, packaging and labeling in accordance with current legislation and customer requirements
- Acting as point of contact for all customer and internal queries regarding specifications.
- Liaise with the NPD team to ensure specification and artwork requirements for projects meet critical deadlines. Maintenance of SAP data at plant level including deletion of unused master data, updating material master data, recipe method changes, BoM updates, material changes and shelf-life data.
- Ensure any amendments to product formulation are captured using correct process and reflected in finished product specs.
